ISO 14001 - Environmental Management Standard
Since 1998, all Triflex products have been manufactured under the international ISO 14001 Environmental Management standard, confirming our commitment to the minimisation of the environmental impact of our activities.
Ecology and economics go hand in hand and environmental protection is a central corporate objective.
In the interests of ecological corporate development we strive to achieve constant improvements in our company's environmental protection over and above the statutory requirements. Our environmental programme was developed as long ago as the mid-1980s, with numerous individual measures designed to improve the environmental situation where we can have an impact.
We have continued to set ourselves ambitious targets into the future.
The preservation of our natural environment is fundamental to the life of present and future generations. It is a task that we set ourselves rigorously. Environmental protection is implemented in a comprehensive and integrated way
- Corporate environmental protection is fully integrated in the Triflex management system
- The management team is responsible for environmental protection and safety. In this capacity the team has the support of the "Environment and Safety" department. These ensure that the relevant statutory and corporate requirements are observed and implemented.

Responsible Care
As a company we also support the "Responsible Care" initiative. Responsible Care® is the chemical industry’s global voluntary initiative under which companies, through their national associations, work together to continuously improve their health, safety and environmental performance, and to communicate with stakeholders about their products and processes. The Responsible Care® ethic helps our industry to operate safely, profitably and with due care for future generations, and was commended by UNEP as making a significant contribution to sustainable development at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in 2002. www.responsiblecare.org
