Business Development Manager - North UK

Main objectives

As a Triflex Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the continued development and growth of our liquid applied waterproofing solutions for roofs, walkways, balconies, terraces and car parks in our Northern region, which includes; Cheshire, Cumbria, Durham, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Yorkshire. This growth will be achieved through proactive support, servicing and growing our reliable network of authorised contractors and active generation of new enquiries and specifications through engagement with key consultants, engineers, local authorities and specifiers. You will be responsible for taking a dynamic approach in increasing both the Triflex brand awareness and the sales pipeline.

Primary responsibilities

  • To meet or exceed your agreed SMART objectives and planned sales revenue for the region
  • Build a strong pipeline of project opportunities
  • Proactively identify and develop regional project leads
  • Identify & develop a strong network of active contractors in the region
  • Support new customer acquisition through training and system awareness
  • Self-generate new Triflex system specifications through project leads, surveys and local authority networking
  • Support regional on-site surveys and site inspections
  • Deliver Triflex system CPDs to targeted specifiers / surveyors in the region

General responsibilities

  • To support the achievement of Company and Team SMART objectives;
  • To maintain and update all records, databases, CRM data and reports
  • To maintain an understanding of manufacturer, contractor and other competitors, their strengths, weaknesses, systems and technologies
  • To be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to health, safety and security for yourself, team members and others you come into contact with, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to HR or a Director
  • To participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required
  • To appreciate and support the role of other professionals
  • To attend and participate in relevant meetings as required To establish constructive relationships and communication with Triflex personnel and outside companies/agencies
  • To carry out any other related tasks as requested or delegated by management
