Triflex Tactile Markings are primarily used on train platforms and pedestrian crossings. They are used to provide a warning signal for people with visual impairments of possible danger.
These prefabricated tactile markings are formed of fully cured PMMA resin tiles, and are bonded to asphalt and concrete substrates using the Triflex Cold Plastic marking system. Once fully cured they provide ribs or raised dots for textured signalling. The rapid curing technology of Triflex Cold Plastic means that construction costs are minimised and public transport delays are reduced, as train platforms, bus stops and traffic crossings can be closed for much shorter time periods when compared to alternative systems.
